In India, China, and many other places of the world today – girls are killed, aborted and abandoned simply because they are girls. The United Nations estimates that as many as 200 million girls are missing because of this atrocity, gendercide. Girls who survive infancy are often subject to neglect and many grow up to face extreme violence and even death at the hands of their own husbands or other family members. The war against girls is rooted in centuries old tradition and sustained by deeply ingrained cultural dynamics, that need to be transformed by the liberating power of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
On Sunday, 10 March you are invited to join us as examine Biblically how Christ would confront gendercide head-on.
In the evening at 6pm, we will be showing the film: The three deadliest words in the world… It’s a Girl – this film is not suitable for children or those who do not wish to be confronted with the sinful atrocity of gendercide.
